Welcomed Home "absent from the body, present with the Lord"

Yesterday Chitokoloki Mission Hospital experienced another passing of one of the patients. He was known only as Emmanuel, he was a paraplegic who has been with us at hospital for over 6 years and when he arrived some thought that his stay would be short but the Lord had other plans. He was almost a resident in Men's Ward and it was mentioned today that he always had a smile and cheerful disposition. Our medical staff had a real care for him over a long period of time and when he finally surrendered his earthly habitation, he was received up into heaven where already his suffering and confinement is over. His body was taken to Kasempa for burial but staff requested that we have a short service before they left so we gathered outside of the mortuary, sang, shared words of comfort from God's word and prayed before they left.
