Dr Henry Munyanpara has gone to be with the Lord.

The Mission and entire community at Chavuma, as well as all of us here at Chitokoloki, were very shocked and saddened when we received the news on Friday morning at 1:00 AM that Dr Henry (as he was fondly known) had a heart attack and passed from this life into eternity. Dr Henry and his family were from Congo and he has been at Chavuma for quite some time and was an exceptional lovely Brother in the Lord and a outstanding medical doctor. He leaves behind his wife, Marianne, and his children, Eunice, Ariel, Bobette and Jojo. Dr David McAdam wrote the family and said," Henry was a great man and a good man and that is a very rare combination. I am privileged to have known him as a brother in the Lord Jesus and as a dear friend and also as a surgical colleague. His life was a blessing to countless patients both in the Democratic Republic of Congo and in recent years in Zambia. Thousands of people owe their lives to his expert care."His family requested that his body be taken back to Congo for burial and so yesterday a large entourage of numerous vehicles drove to Zambezi where we, Gordon and Chris, met them at the airstrip and after a time of singing and prayer he was flown to Chingola where we were met again by a number of family, friends and colleagues. It was just 6 years ago this past week that we here at Chitokoloki lost Jay and Katrina Erickson so we remember them and can understand the feeling of emptiness and sorrow.Dr Henry will sure be missed and the folks at Chavuma are very keenly feeling the loss of this great man as now they are left without a doctor. Prayer is requested for them and Dr Henry's family as the burial will take place today in Lubumbashi.
